Another week has gone by and lots of work is getting accomplished at the house.
We discussed the Grey water system with our plumber and he is on board to set us up.
Greywater is washwater. That is, all wastewater excepting toilet wastes and food wastes derived from garbage grinders. There are significant distinctions between greywater and toilet wastewater (called "blackwater"). These distinctions tell us how these wastewaters should be treated /managed and why, in the interests of public health and environmental protection, they should not be mixed together.
It is pretty interesting, and does not take more than a few extra minutes to install when roughing in original plumbing. So along with our usual plumbing that went in last week our plumber will be at our house again 2/17 to finish the greywater system.
As of yesterday (2/15) all windows had to be boarded up since our stairs are going in and we wanted to avoid anyone interested in taking anything. Our lights, electrical, and many other "stealable" items are in the house and we needed to protect those things. So the following pictures are our lovely home all boarded up and looking a little sad.

This is from the garage looking through to the south window

All boarded up and waiting for doors
